SUGGESTION FOR A PROPOSAL FOR SPECIAL PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT:
In view of the legal constraints, there is an inhibition on the part of the employers to employ permanent workmen and thereby they resort to unethical practices like engagement of casual workmen, temporary workmen and contract workmen.
The right of the workmen to seek alteration of the terms of employment by collective bargaining also at times makes the employer vulnerable and forces him to accept demands beyond his means or demands which are wholly unjustified. The proposed Special Permanent Employment will act fairly to both.
FEATURES OF THE PROPOSED SPECIAL PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT:
1. The offer is for Special Permanent Employment after completion of minimum period of training of not exceeding one year.
2. The total remuneration at the time of employment shall preferably be 10% more than the minimum wages fixed by the appropriate Government for any scheduled employment in the relevant financial year.
